Let’s clear things up

Good questions. Straight answers.

What’s available, what’s coming, and what joining the list means.

Getting started

Can I use Tropic Tutor yet?

We’re preparing early access and inviting people in waves. Join the free list to hear when your invitation and subjects are ready. The sample questions on this website are available now, without an account.

Is joining the early-access list free?

Yes. There is no payment or card required to join. Joining the list does not create a paid subscription.

Subjects & learning

Which subjects will be available?

We’re starting with CSEC subjects, with CAPE planned after that. The subject directory shows our proposed coverage, not a list of courses already available. Tell us your subjects when you join to help us prioritise.

What will I be able to study with?

The learning experience brings together lessons, guided checks, flashcards, topic practice, timed mock exams, and a study tracker. Access to individual tools and content will depend on the subject, plan, and early-access rollout.

Are these official CXC past papers?

No. Tropic Tutor is independent of CXC. Our lessons and practice questions are original material designed around the publicly available syllabus. We do not present them as official past papers.

Does my progress predict my exam grade?

No. Coverage shows the material you have worked through. Recall reflects the evidence from your practice. Neither is an official grade or a guarantee of an exam result. Automated written feedback is an estimate and may need review.

Access & pricing

How much will Tropic Tutor cost?

Tropic Tutor is free to start, with the first 2 modules of every subject open. Premium for every subject is US$19.99 a month or US$99.00 a year, and a single subject is US$8.99 a month. Ask for a refund within 7 days of paying if Premium isn’t for you.

Will it work on my phone?

Tropic Tutor is being built for use in a web browser on phones, tablets, and computers. An internet connection is required; offline downloads and native mobile apps are not part of the current early-access offering.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If Premium is not for you, ask for a refund within 7 days of paying, using the request button next to the payment in Plans & access. You can also cancel renewal at any time, and you keep the access you have already paid for until the end of that period.

What do I get for free, and what happens at the limit?

Free learners get the first 2 modules of every subject, 10 practice sets and 5 AI tutor questions a day. When you reach a daily limit it resets the next day, and lessons you can open stay open. Premium unlocks every module and raises the tutor to 30 questions a day.

Can I try Premium before paying?

The free plan is the way to try Tropic Tutor: the first 2 modules of every subject, with no card and no time limit. If you upgrade and Premium isn’t for you, ask for a refund within 7 days of paying.

Families & schools

Can parents and teachers join?

Yes. Choose Parent or Teacher on the early-access form. Family and classroom access will be introduced through the relevant rollout, and your invitation will explain what is available.

Does Tropic Tutor replace school or a teacher?

Tropic Tutor is a study companion for independent practice alongside classroom learning. Continue following your teacher’s guidance, school requirements, and the syllabus for your examination year.
