By accessing or using Tropic Tutor ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Tropic Tutor is an educational platform that provides AI-generated study materials, quizzes, and mock examinations for students preparing for Caribbean regional examinations including CSEC® and CAPE®. Our Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC®).

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use our Service. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian. By using our Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

5. Subscription and Payment

Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to the Service. No credit card is required to start the trial.

Paid Subscriptions

After the free trial, continued access requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time, and access will continue until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

Annual subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase. Monthly and quarterly subscriptions are non-refundable but may be cancelled at any time.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts
  • Reproduce, distribute, or sell our content without permission
  • Use automated systems to access the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service, including study materials, quizzes, and mock examinations, is owned by Tropic Tutor or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

8. Disclaimer

Our Service is provided for educational purposes only. We do not guarantee any specific examination results. Our content is designed to supplement, not replace, classroom instruction and official study materials.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TROPIC TUTOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Teacher Accounts

Teachers who link to student accounts may view student progress and performance data. Teachers agree to use this information solely for educational purposes and to maintain student confidentiality.

11. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any material changes.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tropic Tutor operates.

15. Trademark Acknowledgment

CXC®, Caribbean Examinations Council®, CSEC®, Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate®, CAPE®, Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination®, CCSLC®, and CVQ® are registered trademarks of the Caribbean Examinations Council. Tropic Tutor is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to the Caribbean Examinations Council.

All study materials, practice questions, and mock examinations provided through this platform are original works created independently by Tropic Tutor. They are designed to supplement students' exam preparation and are not official CXC® examination materials.
