Study planning
Make the most of the weeks before your exams
Count the weeks you have, give each one a purpose, and leave the final stretch for review.
Count the weeks you really have
Start from your first paper and count back to today. Take out weeks taken up by school exams, holidays or other commitments. What is left is your real study time, and it is usually fewer weeks than it feels.
Give each week one main focus
List the topics in each subject, then spread them across your weeks so the harder topics come earlier. One main focus per week keeps the plan simple enough to follow.
Mix in practice from the start
Do not save exam-style questions for the end. A few questions after each topic show what has stuck and what needs another look while there is still time to fix it.
Keep the last weeks for review
Plan the final two or three weeks for mixed practice, timed papers and the topics your practice showed were weak. Our free printable study planner lays the weeks out for you.
